Streaming ACN is an Ethernet based control protocol that was developed by ESTA (Entertainment Services & Technology Association) as part of the overall ACN (Architecture for Control Networks) protocol as a next generation of high capacity data distribution for entertainment technology.

sACN works similarly to Art-Net in that it also sends multiple universes of DMX data at usually 30-45 packets per second.

Streaming ACN can theoretically send up to 63,999 universes of DMX data over a network connection.
